Inaugural Larry Minor Motorsports Winter Nationals – Sand Drags |
|
The NSDA (National Sand Drag Association) wrapped up its
second race of year in San Jacinto California
last weekend with the Inaugural Larry Minor
Motorsports Winter Nationals.
Race number two of six- point’s races for the NSDA’s South West Series. As usual the staff of the NSDA prepared a top
notch track and program for the nearly 200 competitors to compete. Classes ranged from Top Fuel dragsters to the
popular UTV classes and everything in between.
Despite an unusually cold start the weekend kicked into high gear and
produced some exciting drag racing action.
Scott Whipple took home the $8K
to win Top Fuel class over the Matt Ludlow in the final round. Mike DeNunzio
backed up his teammate to make it a Team Canidae sweep of TF/TA with his Top
Alcohol class win. Steve Hoffman made it back-to-back victories conquering the
Top Eliminator class. Winners in the day’s bracket classes were Mike Gazzeny
(Pro 1), Tracy Malan (Pro 2), Nick Young (Pro 3), Brad Olson (MP1), and Rob
Winkle (MP2).
