Damon Eller Closes Out 2007 Season Following 'Outlaws World Finals'

November 8, 2007

(CRUMPLER, NORTH CAROLINA )  Damon Eller and the Independence Lumber Racing team traveled to the Dirt Track at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord , North Carolina last weekend for their final event of the 2007 racing season.  The three-day 'Outlaws World Finals' extravaganza was short-lived for the #I4 team; however, as they struggled during both rounds of qualifying on Thursday night, November 1.  Damon timed in seventy-first fastest in the first round of World of Outlaws Late Model Series time trials and seventy-fifth quickest in round two.  Because he was buried in the C-Main on both Friday and Saturday evening, the Crumpler, North Carolina native chose to forego the rest of the weekend, which featured a pair of $10,000 to win events.  You can view full results from the 'Outlaws World Finals' online at www.worldofoutlaws.com!

The #I4 team will now regroup over the off-season to get ready for their rapidly approaching 2008 schedule, which will start at the Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick , Georgia in late January.  During the course of 2007, Damon competed on a full-time basis with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.  He wound up ninth in the final version of the series standings and finished second in the heated Rookie of the Year point battle to Justin Rattliff.

Damon’s best finish of his ’07 campaign came on March 18 when he ran second in a $3,000 to win Advance Auto Parts Thunder Series (AAPTS) show at the Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee.  In all, Damon posted four Top Five efforts and thirteen Top Ten performances in the Dirt Late Model events that he entered this season.  You can view all of his results online at www.i4damoneller.com!
