POMONA, Calif., Nov. 1, 2007 -- Clay Millican was succinct in his description of Evan Knoll's RATT -- Back for More Tour Top Fuel dragster's first qualifying effort Thursday for Sunday' season-ending Auto Club Finals.

 

"It wasn't pretty, but we're in the top 16," said Millican of the 4.674-second run at 320.66 mph that left him 16th overall.  "Fortunately for us we get three more runs.  The car was spinning the tires and moving around."

 

Millican has one more run slated Friday and two more on Saturday to set the 16-car field for eliminations.
