POMONA, Calif., Nov. 1, 2007 -- Justin Humphreys' 6.694-second elapsed time early in Thursday's only Auto Club Finals Pro Stock qualifying session put his RaceRedi Motorsports/Knoll-Gas Energy Pontiac GTO into sixth place going into Friday's second run.

 

"It wasn't a bad run for the first hit. It did spin the tires through third and fourth gears and got a little loose," said Humphreys. "We'll be in the left lane Friday and we should be able to improve."

 

The last two qualifying runs of the season are slated Saturday with Finals eliminations on Sunday.
