LAS VEGAS, October 27, 2007 -- J.R. Todd advanced to the semifinals of the Technicoat Top Fuel Shootout Saturday and wound up 10th in the starting lineup for Sunday's ACDelco Nationals at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

 

Todd won the opening round of the $100,000-to-win event, defeating Larry Dixon, 4.563 at 322.11 mph to 4.970 at 213.40. Todd's SKULL Shine dragster followed with a 4.572 at 326.95 in the semis against Rod Fuller, but the eventual event winner's 4.529 at 326.32 lit the win light first.

 

Todd will attempt to make it two wins over Dixon in two days when they square off in their first-round match Sunday.  Dixon's best was 4.534 at 321.42 mph.
