RaceRedi Motorsports/Knoll-Gas Energy Pontiac Runs 6.740 Seconds
LAS VEGAS, October 27, 2007 -- Justin Humphreys wasn't able to hold on to the No. 1 Pro Stock qualifying berth Saturday for Sunday's ACDelco Nationals at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, but he did come away with his career best fourth place. After aborting Saturday's first run when the car went to the right, he rallied with a run of 6.740 seconds at 203.92 mph. He races Larry Morgan (No. 13, 6.777 at 203.58 mph) in the opening round. He had dropped to eighth before the comeback effort. "We were happy about that," he said. "We were hoping to stay on the pole but the 6.740 was pretty stout, too. It was the fourth-quickest of the last session and it gave us our highest starting position. We will be ready to race." |
