SKULL Shine Dragster Runs 4.550 Seconds on Second Run at Vegas |
LAS VEGAS, October 26, 2007 -- J.R. Todd's 4.550-second qualifying attempt Friday evening put him fourth in the starting line-up for Sunday's ACDelco Nationals and served as a confidence-booster going into Saturday's Technicoat Top Fuel Shootout and its $100,000 reward to the winner. Todd, who also ran 4.627 seconds on his first run, meets Larry Dixon in the Shootout's first round that runs in conjunction with Saturday qualifying. "The weather is going to be hot tomorrow and we got in two good runs (Friday)," said Todd. "At least we don't have to worry about qualifying for Sunday's race. When the car runs on all eight cylinders like it did on the last run, it really feels good." |
