New RATT Mobile Improving with Each Outing
RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 6, 2007 -- Clay Millican drove Evan Knoll's RATT -- Back for More Tour Top Fuel dragster Saturday to its quickest run of qualifying for Knoll's Torco Racing Fuels Nationals Sunday at Virginia Motorsports Park. The 4.634-second time at 314.83 mph put him 14th overall, setting up a match against Larry Dixon (No. 3, 5.70 at 317.42 mph) in the opening round. "We will start the day 14th and we think it is a great starting spot," said Millican, of Drummonds, Tenn. "It is so much better than 17th. All the cars are oh, so close in qualifying times (one-hundredth of a second) that it doesn't matter where you are. Everybody in the race is capable of winning." Crew chief Johnny West "was a little aggressive on the tune-up on our last run (a shutting-off 11.566 at 77.89 mph)," added Millican. "We are looking forward to Sunday." |
