SKULL Shine Dragster Posts 4.592-second Run
RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 5, 2007 -- After rain washed out Friday's first qualifying session for the Torco Racing Fuels Nationals, J.R. Todd and the SKULL Shine Top Fuel team came back with a 4.592-second elapsed time at 317.64 mph to grab the provisional No. 3 starting spot for Sunday's Torco Racing Fuels Nationals. "That wasn't bad for our first run," said Todd. "We had to tiptoe down the track because it was our first run. The tires were spinning at halftrack, but all-in-all, it was a good start to the weekend. "The track should be good again Saturday. I think all the drivers should salute NHRA's Safety Safari and track personal for the work they did to improve the track conditions." They have two more runs slated Satuday to set the stage for the 21st of 23 POWERade Series races on Sunday. |
