RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 5, 2007 -- Clay Millican got the most he could out of his lone qualifying run of 7.587 seconds Friday and wound up 11th as the Torco Racing Fuels Nationals began at Virginia Motorsports Park.

 

Rain washed out the first run and NHRA and VMP personnel got the track in good shape for the lone attempt.  Track problems set in early for Millican, and he shut it off and Evan Knoll's RATT -- Back for More Tour dragster coasted to the finish line in 97.13 mph.

 

Millican has two more runs slated Saturday when the 16-car field will be set for Sunday eliminations.
